What is smoke damage? Is it different from fire damage?

After a fire is extinguished, soot and smoke spread very quickly to cause smoke damage. They consist of chemicals, acids, and dust. Not only it’s dangerous for our health but it can cause serious damage to the property, like discoloration of walls and lingering smoke odor. So while damage due to fire and smoke are different things, both can be harmful to humans and property.
