Cyanide Level Air Testing After Explosion in China

December 16, 2016 by Disaster Restoration Singapore

Background

DRS was engaged by a Manufacturing Company in Tianjin, China to determine the cyanide levels in its vicinity after an explosion involving hazardous and flammable chemicals occurred only a few kilometers away from its location.

Solutions Provided

Our role involved air testing, analysis and regular reporting of our assessment to the relevant authorities and the client, all while under the safety of appropriate PPE. Eventually, we cleared and sanctioned the plant for use.

Impact

With uncertainty of the toxicity levels in the air, many facilities in that area were non-operational. However, with DRS’s swift testing and clearance, our client was one of the first few green-lighted for re-use of their plant.
