Indoor Environment Contaminated With Aspergillus Mold

September 12, 2011 by Disaster Restoration Singapore

Background

Our clients turned to us for our mold remediation services when they discovered mold infestation on their premises.

Solutions Provided

After speciation and identification tests, we determined that the mold infestation was actually an Aspergillus Mold, which is classed as a toxigenic and pathogenic mold. Over exposure or exposure to individuals with compromised immune systems, respiratory conditions or allergies has been known to cause serious health effects from asthma to lung aspergillosis and even to death.

We decontaminated the area, used HEPA air scrubbers to clean the moldy indoor air, restored healthy relative humidity levels with assistance of dehumidifiers and applied a coating of non-leaching anti-microbial to all affected surfaces to prevent future growth of the mold and other pathogenic micro-organisms.

Impact

A highly dangerous mold was removed from our client’s premises, resulting in improved indoor air quality, healthier occupants, cleaner premises and the crucial prevention of legal claims for negligence in maintaining the property for healthy occupation.
